Planning Services

National Association for Interpretation (2018)

I help parks, nature centers, and historic sites communicate the significance of their special places. Together, we identify overarching themes, storylines, and media to forge emotional and intellectual connections with identified audiences. I also collaborate with other planning and design professionals to help managers of protected areas with an array of planning and design services.

My experience in program delivery and planning combine with studies in adult education (EdM) to support these services. Through my professional positions with National Park Service, The Nature Conservancy, Maine Audubon, and Maine Coast Heritage Trust, I authored management, strategic, and interpretive plans for protected lands in New England. Throughout, I successfully created and conducted numerous pubic involvement strategies utilizing focus groups, key respondents, public meetings, newsletters, media, and other techniques.
